Nick
became the youngest player to play for the Quakes in over 25 yrs
of existance when he was drafted in 2004. Nick was born in Torrance,
CA and now lives in Wilmington, CA. He was picked up by the Quakes
organization before ever playing in a minor league game. He's a
fast and aggressive Defensman who'e not afraid to carry the puck
into the offensive zone. Nick plays the points very well and is
one of the best two-way players in the league. Some analysists are
already comparing him to a young "Bobby Orr' with his end to
end rushes and defensive / offensive abilities. Coach Randy Carbone
made a bold move last season and moved Nick up to right wing which
worked out well as Nick contributed greatly picking up a bunch of
goals and assists while leading the Quakes to the 2006 "Cuban
Cup" Championship. Nick with fellow Quakes youngster Jeff Allen
has quite a large fan base which can be heard loudly throughout
the cavernous Glacial Gardens at every game. |
