Leo
was born in Hollywood, CA of a deep Russian heritage and now resides
in Laguna Niguel, CA. Leo became a member of the LA Quakes in 2004
after being pursued by Quakes scouts over 5 years. Leo's European
style of hockey brought the Quakes organization up to the level
of most of the other teams in the league that have seen a large
influx of European born players making the long journey to play
in this highly regarded league. Leo is a big tough center who is
a master at faceoffs leading the league with an amazing 82% faceoff's
won. Leo is a huge asset in that it puts the Quakes on the offensive
quickly when his line is on the ice. The Stefanov family is well
known the world over for their mastery of fine Russian Beer Brewerys
throughout the Soviet Union. |
